Danna Zeiger

Before pursuing her aspirations as a children’s literature author, Danna Zeiger was Biology Professor and Program Director for Fisher College’s Biology Program, serving disadvantaged and first-in-the-family students from diverse backgrounds.

While homeschooling her three spirited kids, Danna established a STEM accessibility and educational resource entitled DrZatHome.

Danna’s debut STEM nonfiction picture book, acquired by Carol Hinz at Millbrook Press, is slated for publication in fall 2025 and is called Rewriting the Rules.

Her unpublished novel-in-verse was awarded the PJ Our Way Partial Author’s Incentive Award. She was recently selected for the prestigious 2025 PJ Library Sephardic Stories Initiative Writing Fellowship.

Danna lives in Massachusetts with her husband, three curious children, two pet chickens, and a bookcase always filled with the maximum number of checked out library books.
